Hi,

Please let me know if your interested. Hard/Stone/Wood floor cleaning, sealing and restoration course at Chemspec Europe in Bailden, West Yorkshire. Cost £100 including lunch and refreshments. They have told me they need a minimum of 5 people to make it viable.

I have been told the course will be practical as well as class room based. Date to be arranged when I get some positive interest. (Maybe late Oct)

These courses should not try and do stone cleaning, sealing and restoration in one day as it can not be done, so don't think you you can go on this course and go out and start work on granite, marble, limestone floors because you wont.

I agree with sherco.

You should spend the first day at least getting to know stone before cleaning it on day two at least.

Been on two hardfloor course and both wernt great more about selling their products than cleaning.

theres far to many carpets out there to be cleaned for me to consider hard floor, maybe when i get me second truckmount up and running, let me know if its any good for future reference.

I sort of agree with you Derek. There are millions of square feet to be cleaned. If I could get away with it I'd not do sofas.

On the other hand I like some variety and learning new things like leather resto etc.

I guess the thing is you are going to come up aginst time and again is a client wanting you to do the carpets, suite, hardfloors, decking, drive. It would be a long day but it would be very profitable.

The other thing about hardfloors is having to go back sometimes for sealing etc, but I gues if you are into the expensive stuff it's not a problem.

In reality it’s only going to cost you £78.00 after you put the invoice through your books. I think it’s worth a punt.
