Just rub the brush over some crossbars, now and then pull out a load of cobwebs. But that's about it generally speaking.
I'm using a mono dual trim brush by Gardiners, the Superlite. Never had to bother about cleaning the brush really. Not even on first cleans.

i use a dog comb brush, metal pins, pulls out all cobwebs muck etc really easy, a tip i got on here works a treat
