Your getting confused mate, this is now about the other vauxhall (the cav) that had smoke coming out of the bonnet, this isnt about the gaitor anymore.

The other vehicle was a vauxhall cav, that broke down 4 years ago cant you bleedin read?  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Your 2nd problem might be a crankcase breather. If it blocks up, pressure builds in the crankcase forcing oil out.
Matt, Gowrings Ford on houndsmill finally paid up after I took them to court when bits went missing off my Transit but that's another storey. Main dealerships are nothing short of rip off merchants, and it's been proven in courts that you don't have to use them to validate servicing/repairs in relation to guarentees.

Im going to Bakers mate in the end. Russell up there knows his stuff. I'd just like to see if Davys hold their hands  up and admit liability. Unlikely.
