New Rubbers
« on: August 26, 2005, 11:08:34 am »
Hi, need some advice.  I bought some rubbers on ebay same as Item number 4400864301 but a bigger pack.  Well they keep jumping, I didn't have this problem before, Is it that the rubbers may not be any good or is it me.  The other thing is, should the rubber have Ungar written on it.  I have noticed that Ettore and Purlex (think thats it) have their name written on it but these do not.

Thanks Paul

I think I've read here that Pulex rubbers can slip out of Unger channels and I'm 99% percent sure that Unger rubbers are branded.

I think you've been sold some cheapo ones.  If the seller described them as Unger, and they aren't, leave the seller some bad feedback.  They don't like that!

Thanks for letting me know.
The other thing maybe I have a bit to much over lapping at each end...That may be the cause...I'll try cutting a little off.

Thanks Paul

i cut mine pretty close with scissors close and angle the rubber so it slightly shorter on the edge that makes contact with the glass and slopes gently backwards between the two sides

if you can understand all that
