Thinking of buying a set, just for accessing garage roofs etc.
Anyone use them? Do they tend to stop clicking into place?

We bought one of these, now redundant in the garage. Tryed using it to get over locked gates - disaster - telescoped up when we tryed to draw it up over the gate. Much better off using conventional ladder and splitting it, or using pointers on low level work.

I have a set of these ladders and they are great in my opinion...just for getting over garages and the odd little 'step-up'.
Saves me loads of time not hang to get the ladders off the roof-rack.
Cheers
Dave.

Bought some of these last week. Loads on ebay etc but was a little sceptical whether they are secure. So went for some from a major supplier. They are EN131 European Trade & Industrial compliant.
Used them a couple of times and find them great, saves loads of time.

A friend I work with has a set and I hate them, I refuse to use them. An accident waiting to happen.

I wouldn't use them for day 2 day work. ie: Trad Window cleaning.
I'm Wfp and for the odd job were you need a quick ladder access they do the trick.
If you do buy some make sure they are EN131 and get a decent brand. There are some cheap Chinese ones out there.
