Whatever you use, rinse and rinse again. Kids are into touching, feeling, licking, etc, and as well as the damage ingestion of cleaning products can do to the child in question, a build-up of product can allow germs to fester and breed......i was once told about an outbreak of sickness and dioreah in one such place could not be controlled until the day someone (a cleaner of many years and with much experience) walked in and said "its the window, thats the problem."
What she was refering to was a glass window which seperated two rooms, the windows of which the children (special needs) were inclined to put thier hands all over and also lick
With deep-cleaning of this area to remove all germs and cleaning product, the S&D was bought under control.
Quite honestly, if a job like this is not a regular one, i'd question how much i needed to do it if you're not 100% sure how to go about it. Were it me, i'd be doing my homework too as i'm also not completley sure either.
