Turn the tap off when you brushing your teeth.

Have a tap fitted to the pole or end of hose and use it between windows.  Think triggers are better but I don't have one.

Have the flow only dialed up to what you will use.

Recycle some of the waste water from ro back to input.

My ro has a recylcle valve built into as supplied from pure window water.  After 2 &1/2 years the 4040 membrane is still perfect and the tds hasn't risen at all.  However I also run a water softener before the ro as I live in a very hard water area.

This is by far the best way to cut down on water usage. In fact, you will probably find you will save around 40-50% water.

Disconnect the spray tube. Slide over your pole hose. Microbore plugs in the back. Trigger is fastened to the pole by using tiewraps.

The trigger is ergonomic and I've got zero problems with stiff fingers or rsi, been using it over a year, definitely one of the must buys. When you use it you will wonder why you ever bothered using anything else. Instant control over the water. In fact you can shut it off in a splitsecond. No more spraying water everywhere. :)
