Welcome to the forum. I'm not trad, so can't help there.

Tip for gathering customers....

Knock the doors is the best I have found. Just ask them if they need a window cleaner. If they don't, kindly ask them if they will take one of your leaflets if they know anyone who does need one.

Drop leaflets in the houses that no one is home.

Get a leaflet up in local shop windows. Its cheaper than chips at 25p a week here. I've had one in my local shop now for a couple of months and only paid for 4 weeks advertising :P

ben my biggest bit of advice is if you see a local window cleaner go say hello of all the guys ive chatted to only 2 were agressive and they are the 2 i love taking work off of the rest send me work as im wfp or i send them work
i had a guy on one of my streets who has picked up one of my dumped customers ( bad payer) if he'd come over and said hello he could of had some more i had just dumped

greetings. i would advise starting small learn your trade then expand as you go, i started a couple of years ago, doing trad, but soon found you were limited on the houses you could aproach.i then bought a wfp system with my trad earnings, to reach awkward windows. now i,m 90% wfp and 10% trad. best of luck with your buisness ;D

Hi mate I'm a new member too.
The windowcleaningcoach website mentioned above is really good, will answer a lot of the simple questions.

Maybe that website should be stickied in the top of the FAQ forum ??

I'm new to, but doing wpf for some time I usually do no more than 18 in a day, a good day maybe 22-24, rainy days 5-10.  Good luck.
