larger Diameter tank outlet
« on: August 06, 2009, 09:59:06 pm »
I need to fit a larger diameter outlet to my 650l tank with a larger hose to supply 2 pumps cos atm when we get down to the last 100l-150l demand by the pumps outstrips the supply which atm is std garden hose

any ideas on fittings or were to get them from?

Chris

I did this - increased the outlet to a 22mm - to suit a pressure washer add on (as and when I need to use it!).

If I remember rightly they come with a 15mm elbow - with a 22mm screw. I just replaced it with a 22mm screw in elbow and using a t junction I have managed to fit my pump with a 15mm reducer and have the 22mm pressure washer supply on the same line.

When I'm not using the pressure washer it has a tap connector so I can take it off without affecting the flow.

Does this make sense!!

I can't remember whether I found it at B & Q or whether I went to a local company FWB?.

Plumbers merchant will sort you out with a 22mm fitting.

Does the explanation make sense?
