i been wfp for about 4 months.but 1 problem ive had is the speed at which the water quality changes.i bought my system from omnipole.my tap water reads 350-390 and i know i live in a hard water area.therefore i have an r.o.within 4 weeks my tds was reading 15.i phoned omnipole and they sent me another d.i filter saying they had probs with the one i had originaly.received it and yet again by 6 weeks water was reading 13.omnipole reluctantly sent me a new filter and said that after checking the resin it was faulty.(i had to spend £4 to send it back) . ive been using it new filter for 4 weeks.tds reading is 3.i reckon its going to shoot up again. i dont use more than 1500 ltr per week.

Just stating the facts!

No need for insults, if you have a problem call us its as easy as that.

DI resin becoming exhausted through usage and the TDS rising, is normal.
The time a DI cartridge lasts depends on several factors, the TDS of the incoming tap water together with the elements that make up the TDS, it is possible that water supplies in the same area can vary considerably in both these factors.
The DI cartridges we use are the very best available using nuclear grade resin rather than the standard MB400 grade.

I am sure their are many users of RO and DI on this board that would be very happy to have only change a filter every six weeks or so.
We have many users that need only to change a filter every 12 months.
It is impossible to predict exactly how long a filter will last in every location across the UK, however in most cases one of our filters will last six months.

I am the Managing Director of Omnipole(UK) Ltd the longest trading WFP Company in the UK and I am  also the senior partner in PH Cleaning Services a contract cleaning company which has traded since 1970 and I  personally have 28 years experiance of Commmercial Contract window cleaning, specialising in difficult access work.
I set up the very first Graffiti Removal Company in the UK back in the early 1980s and carried out all the graffiti removal for 26 London Boroughs, Nat West,Barclays, Lloyds and The Midland Banks etc.
I was the first supplier of Anti graffiti coatings in the UK.
Amongst many other buildings of national importance I personally cleaned the stone work on Marble Arch,The Nelsons Column, and several Sir Henry Moore's sculptures.

Lately I have seen a few instances where this and other forums have been used as a kind of "tool" against suppliers to attempt to force them to comply with something.

The threat of "public" negative comments is a very credible one, and businesses can be damaged easily by them.  In these cases, only those involved know the facts of what has happened, and therefore it is not acceptable for comments such as these to be made on the forum.

Disputes should be settled between those involved, and if satisfaction cannot be gained, The Citizens Advice Bureau is the next port of call.

This thread is now locked, elements have been edited, and it will be deleted after today.  A general question regarding TDS and resin replacement is fine, but these other issues regarding an individual's complaints against a supplier are not.

Please bear this in mind for future topics.
