i dont have a transporter, but i do have a mercedes vito dueliner i used to have a 400 ltr upright behind my seats for quite some time, but then decided i wanted more space so i took the seats out and made my system easily removable. ii know use a 650 ltr tank.

i did also toy with the idea of placing this behind my rear seats, however i didnt like the idea of 650 ltrs over my back axle. hope this helps.

thanks for the reply

i was thinking of a 400 L upright, i have a 400 layflat at the mo, i could just alter that to a upright

i thought of having the tank so it can be removed really easy, but i would then have to store the rear seats somewhere ( and i dont really want to do that )

I have seen a 650 flat behind the rear seats in some ones transporter and there was enough room for reels. I think a 400 will fit fine. If in doubt have a look on the vw van site in transporter specifications an dimensions.

This was in the window van with 1 extra row of seats though so if the shuttle has 2 then I supose it should be an upright. :P

If you have to much weight in those at the rear end you`ll go through more tyres than Shumacher lol. ;D
