wagtail stuff

a while ago i bought the WAGTAIL EXTRACTOR AND BUCKET CLIP.  the yellow bucket clip works a treat ,raising the bucket handle ,makes life easy ,but i just cant workout what the grey bit extractors for? its got a narrow slot on one side and a V shaped slot on the other

I'm told its for use with normal applicators when using a non-flipper wagtail squeegee. A bit useless IMO tho.
