Mixing Spotters
« on: June 20, 2009, 06:29:47 pm »
Forgive my naivity gentlemen/women but is it safe to mix spotting chemicals so you have one all round super-chemical in a bottle?  If the seperate chemicals alone dont damage material then is it right to assume mixed together they are safe? This would eliminate trying three or four different chemicals on a stain.

Mix various drinks together and the resulting cocktail is you got something completely different to the individual drinks.

Will be the same when you mix chemicals together but potentially worse I suppose.
Seeing as a lot of research will have gone into making a spotter, just bunging a few into one dispenser is a recipe for disaster - you dont know what the resulting cocktail will do.

Never. A recipe for disaster. There are some products which can be mixed to heighten their effectiveness but you need to do a course to learn which ones and how.

Sounds like home economics.
