the maplin controllers are only rated at 3amp continuous use and 5amp peak.
should be ok for these little pumps but not shurflo's

I suspect most of the branded pumps come from the same factory as each batch I get has a differant name on even though they all look the same.  I would also agree with the answer above suggesting a FL2202 as an economical option. I have just changed one that has had two years of regular use. They are also available as a slightly larger version and higher pressure 3203

i like the look of the larger one John, have you tried one yet, i'm wondering if they are a less noisy in operation.
