How do wimdow cleaners price their work? I guess by teh hour but are there any other simple structures? by the pain??
Shaun
It's hard to say a price per window, or per house, as they can be so different. As a very rough rule, I charge around £1 per window. A couple of tiny windows, or a tiny window plus the glass in the door would only count as one. Charge more for leaded windows, or ones that are difficult to get to (more time taken). As for conservatories, I kinda divide it up into how many regular windows it's equivalent to. Then I generally round the price up to a multiple of £5.
On the whole, though, a typical 3-bed house usually works out at £10; £15 with a conservatory. Once you're up to a good speed without sacrificing quality, it's quite easy to make £25 to £30 per hour. Also depends on how compact your round is.
That's out here in the wilds of Norfolk; I'm often told that London prices are much higher...
