I said in one post that I would post a photo of my pumpbox and the bypass, so I thought I would make it a separate post of its own (for ease of reference )

Here goes, lets see if I have hosted it correctly :

water feed enters stage left

through 'T' piece and up to pump

Exit pump stage right and around to the four way joint.

One feeds up to a blanked off exit ready for a second (should I ever need one)

One feed goes around to the flow control valve.

One direct to the pole.

The feed coming out of the flow control goes back to the other side of the 'T' piece.

If the flow control is fully open the water comes out at max pressure and flow rate.

As the valve is closed the water is increasingly re-circulated and therebye reducing the flow and pressure to the pole.

As well as giving you control over the volume of water you use, it also allows you to protect the pump.

Although this is all enclosed inside a pumpbox, It should be relatively straight foreward to adapt to whatever sort of layout you yourself have.

Edited after a teenie-weenie mistake was pointed out to me

The water of course enters from the right hand side as you look at the photo, and exits from the left hand side of the pump!

I've got that system too! It's a Peter Fogwill/Aquatec trolley system set up and it works well. If only I could get the remote to work reliably!

My pump box is also the same as this (this may even be a copy of the photo I posted ages ago??? Not sure)...

I have found recently that I was getting a loss in pressure, even with the pump on FULL I was only getting a 20% output in water!!

Solution - I changed ALL the pipes in the box for new pipe. Apparently, after a while, something in the pipe and/or brade, reacts with the water and eventaully the seal can go between the pipe and the T connector (or any of the other connectors for that matter), even though there isn't any movement in the pipes.

Cleantech sell the clear braded pipe from stock at a reasonable price, and you can get the thin black pipe that some use on their actuall WFP poles/brushes, from B&Q for £3 ish.

Hi Steve,
I think I remember seeing a pic of your own pump box, mine if you notice has the fuse removed and the wires connected with insulation tape
I found that the blasted fuse casing melted away and the pump stopped working
the fuse itself was fine.....how does that work
So fixed it by the really sensible method of cutting out the melted fuse box and twisting the the wire together and lovingly wrapping it in the insulation tape :

Been like it for months now.

Yeah, ok, I know it's stupid............ I didn't really need to use the insulation tape

So... I just got a flowjet pump and have fitted it exactly the same as the original pump that I got with Peters System, (and as the picture shows above) however it dosnt seem to be working.
 
Maily the problem is is that it isnt drawing the water through the pump.
 
Can anyone advise me, or has anyone fitted a new pump to Peters System that can Help.

 ajo  peter`s pump is a shurflow pump and peter put a bypass system in his, far as i know i think the flowjet  pump already has a bypass built in could be you will not need the bypass system of peter`s with the fowjet, i have a cleantech backpack and it has a flowjet pump and bypass built in, how are you testing the pump
