« on: March 10, 2005, 05:49:14 pm »
I have checked the FAQs and cant see this one before so please dont jump all over me if has already been asked.

I run a valeting company, drive a renault master (transit sized van) and we are having a nightmare with getting insured.

Can anyone recommend a friendly van insurer please ??

Hi

Why are you having trouble Insuring your van?

There are plenty of Commercial Insurers in the Yellow Pages.....

Perhaps you could explain your problem in more detail.
To insure the van should be no problem.
Is the problem the equipment you are carrying etc.
If this is the case I suggest the following.

Go to your insures tell them you want insurance on Van only.
Then tell them you want public products liability to the value of X
Based on your turn over X
Then tell them you want cover on all specified items to value X on a reinstatment basis.

This way you have 2 policies I for van one coveriing your liability and equipment .

This is easier for your insurance company to understand.

Hope this helps

I took the advice of a fellow poster on here and tried  "Gladiator insurance"
They specialise in commercial vehicles and got my citroen c25 insured for 231 pound fully comp.

They have an online quoting system and they are very helpful
