Yes that's fine.
If it's a poly carb roof then any water will do.

Get a bentley brush from tesco and an appropriate sized extension pole. If you type in £30 diy water fed pole into YouTube you will find out how to connect the pole to the brush. Alot of guys on here reccomend TFR (traffic film remover). You can get this from a local haulage firm as thats what they use to clean off lorrys with. Its great stuff for conservatorys. Im yet to use it myself, but im sure ill be needing some soon.

Hope it helps

If the conservatory has a ridge, you'll probably find that there's all sorts of material stuck under the ridge capping. You can get this out by taking the brush off the pole and wrapping a cloth around the end. Just hook the stuff out and spray with a jet from the hose pipe.

You don't actually need a water fed brush. Just a brush on a long pole (Harris pole?) and a hose pipe will do the job perfectly well.

Use the brush to loosen the muck and the hose to rinse it off.

I've found that one of those 5-pattern hose guns works really well.

Wilkinsons do the spray guns for a couple of quid. Worth getting a hosepipe too. I got the £12.99 30M with hoselock connectors. Most people have a hosepipe, but you get the odd one that locks it away in there garage  >:(

Get a couple of hoselock adaptors for the taps. I did a conny and had to go back for a hoselock adaptor for the tap

Yes, you need to work off step ladders to (a) clear out the gutters and sometimes (b) get to roof sections that are very near a wall or some other obstruction.

Generally, if you can see the roof section from where you stand, you can clean it with a pole. If you can't see it, it's a step ladder job.

Before the days of WFP we used an old fashioned scrubbing brush screwed to a long length of wood. Worked fine but wear gloves - splinters.
