this is driving me nuts now guys my di has been leaking severly
so the hoselocks have gone and replaced with nito male and female anyway £40 later its still dribbling oot of outlet any one got any ideas to why

you have ptfe tape on it ?
also make sure the tape goes on in a way so that when you tighten the fitting up the tape tightens on also.

You may have cross threaded the threads and it's leaking through there?  Maybe?

Use loads of PTFE tape and build it up in a taper, so as you tighten it the ptfe is getting thicker, therefore harder to screw in (If that makes sense)

Lots of PTFE tape or you could try PTFE-joining compound. the other poster is right, you do need to put many wraps of tape on the thread AND in the right direction. Approx 12 wraps should be enough.

Look closely for splits in the casing, check that the rubber 'o' ring hasn't bulged out under pressure under the head other than that ptfe the threads but don't overdo it otherwise they wont seat all the way down (screw all the way in). Use jubilee clips onto elbow joints instead of quick release fittings.
Most quick release fittings rely on pressure to seal them by pushing against a little 'o' ring. They don't work well when sucking or when the pressure is released.

Just the odd drip in the past, nothing gushing out or anything. Any leak i've ever had that is linked to a threaded connector PTFE has always cured it. Never used joining compound on my wfp stuff but used it for plumbing many times on compression fittings & it's always worked the same as tape. Even if you have cross-threaded the unit, plenty of tape should still cure it unless threads are badly stripped.

That's right, I can't screw my connectors in all the way either. This means that the end of the male connector doesn't compress the rubber seal in the unit head (which would normaly be enough to seal water tight) & LOTS of PTFE is a must in this case.

Is your DI pressured by the pump or are you sucking through the DI - pump before or after DI?
Try Macmacs ptfe tape. If that doesn't work then screw a couple of elbows right in or straight connectors and jubilee the hose on.

i have just wrapped endless amounts of ptfe around it there is not a lot of thread on nito fittings so will have to wait till morning now as  my battery is on charge thanks for help guys....

controlled by varistream my di is sitting in a bucket now have been to busy
today to sort anything out my new nito fittings have made no differnce..
