As i was wounded with half up front this last year for first time, do you get a reminder in july when i gotta pay the other half up?

yep and its a right pain in the backside so dont make too much on last year else you will find your self in the poo  :-\ you will find yourself paying nearly 60% on an amount  >:(

Its a bit late now but you could have payed your January and July bill in monthly installment up untill October, see HMRC about paying Julys  ;)

What do you mpean?
You have to pay for next year if your tax bill is over £500 so not just 20% tax and 8% nay INS that doubles on any amount you make more than on the previouse year, it can be a right pain if you havnt saved it.
