How to get Cleaning Contracts
« on: March 18, 2009, 07:38:41 pm »
Hi - I was wondering if anyone had a flyer they could email me which has been sucessful with regards to regular cleaning contracts. Or do you have any advice on how to obtain contracts, do you phone and try to speak to people, do you visit companies - do you send a letter? Any advice of what works best for you would be appreciated.
Thanks
Barbara

Personally I would use a mailing in the post. I do mine in the form of a proper letter and always include a business card - they may be inclined to keep that even if they throw the rest away.

You can get yor own addresses from research on the internet or you could build and buy a list from marketingfile.com

Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring and then ring around some more.

Find out who you have to write to. When you write make reference to the person that you spoke to and make sure you don't waffle.

Try to grab their interest with your first paragraph and once in a blue moon you might just hit the target.

Mention in your letter that you will follow up with a courtesy call.

Call when you say you will.

This way you are likely to at least be invited to tender for future contracts (this will be more than just once in a blue moon!).

Trust me :-)
