Whats on your Business Card?
« on: April 28, 2005, 02:45:01 pm »
I am just about to order some new business cards and I am wondering what info to put on them?
I try to use a large size card (10cm x 7cm), and put loads of info on it, so that its a bit like a mini flyer.
So far I have got:

              Business Name and Established 1987
Carpet, Upholstery & oriental Rug Cleaning Specialists
                  Insured & Uniformed
                  No Shrinkage - Guaranteed
                  Spots, Stains & Odours Treated
Carpet & Fabric Anti - Stain Protection Available
Leather Suites Expertly Cleaned & Conditioned

                  Tel 9.00am to 9.00pm - 7 days
(Exact quotations can be given over the phone if you know the size of your carpet/ Rug)
Phone number and my address  ;D

It all actually fits on without looking cramped, in fact I have space left for some more.

Can you think of anything else that should be on it ?  ???

Thanks
Chris
PS This will be my domestic business card. I use a smaller and simpler card for business customers

Why are you putting thoughts of shrinkage in the customers head?
I wouldnt have thought that would be  not nessaccary on card!!
its like saying " your carpets could shrink, but they wont when i clean them"
but you are however putting that doubt their.

must be a LM system , hence he has not put deep down cleaning, which is what a wet cleaner may put.

I use HWE and also Dry Fusion.
I will never shrink a carpet. By telling a potential customer that you guarantee that the carpet will not shrink you are dealing with a major worry that a lot of customers have.
The card that I am designing will only be given out to customers on completion of a job. It is for them to pass onto friends and family.
Deep cleaning is a good idea, I may add that or something similar.
Thanks

Chris

When I first met Nick he had few cards laid out on table with the word WHO it subconsciously made me pick one up and turn it over, very clever.  I picked quite a few at Birmingham the artwork court my eye more than anything else, the Taffy ;D one was the best of the bunch, don’t forget two sides to a card.

My business card is so full of writing you can't see the back ground.

never put negatives on any written material, of course it puts people off. it certainly wont get you any extra customers, what do you want cards for. nobody keeps them. there used for flossing the teeth. a great idea was posted the other day use fridge magnets with your advert on, only invest in items that will gain customers, unless you are a solicitor. doctor , dentist.or similar cards are fruitless.they dont sell you or a product.neithr do free pens. key fobs. sherlock only trying to save you money. ;)
listen, learn.and benefit. try. reward.and love, peace harmony.feng shui. and all that. it improves ones selling .to ones customers.reap THE HARVEST WHILST YOU CAN. and try to crush the opposition.

If your good, they will only want your phone no and will keep your card.

If your card is laminated or glossy  they will be less likely to throw it away!

Would you keep cards for a list of information....... I dont think so.

I keep cards for the people who are importatnt because I need them.

I dont always give cards to customers because I'm so lazy I forget to print them. But they will always get a reminder from me in the post and they wont forget who I am. ;D
