Car Valeting Set Up
« on: October 27, 2007, 11:09:32 am »
Hi guys

I'm hoping that somebody may be able to help with a few questions re car valeting.

I have a carpet & uphostery cleaning business up in Scotland &
I've helped out a local garage removing marks etc from customers upholstery & trim as part of his sevicing.  He has know asked me would I like to do complete valeting of the cars. I have a chance to get trained on a 2 day course whcih will give me the correct methods of cleaning-I hope!.

However I was wondering what was the opinion out there on the best equipment to use? I'm thinking about Hot wash v cold wash pressure washers-which make, compressed air foamers?
Which cleaning products would  you reccomend. As with carpet cleaning there are many products available so maybe you could point me in the right direction

Cheers Tony  :-\

Hi Tony

We operate a valeting service and use Autoglym products, expensive but good,we found with dealerships they are looking for a top quality job at bottom dollar-so the products etc should match the rewards.
We use hot water and wash and wax shampoo- and most dealers will require a full hand polish.

We do steam clean vehicles and if this is a service u will be offering u will need a hot box.

Regards
