This may be off topic and if it is I apologise! However...
In June this year myself and six friends will be setting out to walk from Cheltenham in Gloucestershire to Pen-y-Fan in the Brecon Beacons, a challenge we are calling Spa2Summit. This is a distance of 70 miles and we are aiming to do it in 36 hours. "Why, you fools, why?" I hear you cry. Well, we are doing it to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Pete, one of our team, lost his Dad to cancer last year, but during the time his dad had cancer the Macmillan Nurses were awesome and we would like to give a little back. You can check our blog here:
http://spa2summit.blogspot.com/I mention it here because:
1. Three of the team are currently window cleaners and a couple of the others have been in the not to distant past.
2. Can anyone help us? We are intending to pop leaflets through our customer's doors to promote the challenge in and around Cheltenham, but our route takes us through Gloucester, the Forest of Dean, across Herefordshire, and on towards Abergavenny and Brecon. Are there any window cleaners along this route who could post leaflets to their customers or maybe get local shops that they clean to display posters for us?
3. Give us your money! You can go to
http://www.justgiving.com/spa2summit and make a donation. If you are a taxpayer and who isn't
, it will increase the value of your donation by 28% if you use Giftaid. If everyone on this forum donated a quid, who knows how much we'd raise!?
Many thanks for reading this through, if you can help that would be great, if you can donate that would be great too!
