battery leak on carpet

Hello, customers daughter dropped Christmas  electronic toy on victoria carpets harvest wheat berber and left 4 seperate marks , right on top of landing in highly visable area. Customer blotted got yellowish colouring on cloth. I flushed hwe with a splitter  still seems to be there. Any clues please? Edward
