wfp faster
« on: March 30, 2005, 06:15:14 pm »
A good day today, did 33 pensioners flats (up and downs) plus 1 new large detached house between 9am – 2-30pm using wfp. Before taking up wfp these flats alone would have taken me upto about 4pm working on my own, so I’ve come to the conclusion that wfp is faster if you have several properties to do in a row. What do you think?

i only have a couple off leaded jobs, so for them i use a ladder, as for old wooden frames yes you can get flaking, but most of my jobs are upvc so not a problem

Jay, why are you using ladders on leaded? I hoped they were going to be easier and cleaner with wfp. ???

Thanks.. Steve

I have a street of about 10 leaded houses, used to take all day (pre-WFP) and a LOT of elbow grease...

Now, with my WFP I can finish them in around 3 hours  ;D

WFP is great for leaded, georgian and any other of "odd" shaped window.

Cheers

Couldn't agree more, WFP is really tops for leaded and georgian work.
Have to watch for oxidized paint of course, thats the one real kicker with WFP, but in fairness, not many are so bad that you can't do a decent job.
I don't really find flaking paint much of a problem, there is always the odd bit coming away, hasn't seemed to make an awful lot of difference so far as I can tell ???
