IBC tank fittings
« on: January 10, 2006, 08:08:52 am »
I have bought a 640ltr IBC tank which I am going to baffle and put in my van. Any Idea where I can buy a fitting that will convert the 3 inch outlet to a half inch hosetail? or are there any other Ideas that anyone has used to get a hose from a IBC tank to the delivery pump? :-\

we have a 1000ltr static tank at home, Its reduced from 3inch to 1 inch using a screw cap with a copper tank fitting drilled through the cap, not the traditional way of doing it but works fine, see no reason why you couldn't use another reducer to bring it down to half inch.

most aquatic shops will sell a plastic reduducer for a few quid. there inline pumps move water fast as well. there not the cheapest of pumps tho.
