Been out since 6am this morning to do some industrial units. Raining hard, but at least theres no snow here and its not freezing! So after a change of clothes and a quick cup of tea I'll be back out there again to try and make up for last week!!

Just stopped raining here.  (12.35pm)  Conscience says I ought to go out, but when it gets to this time the incentive has gone ;D

Gave up at 10.30 this morning - lashing down with rain and high winds.  Taking the rest of the day off.

I've never known the weather so bad, I am prepared for it as much as can be but I have missed last week and today and possibly 2morrow. I feel unemployed

When its this bad do you start getting worried about your customers.I am several weeks behind now because of the weather and a longer holiday over xmas and the new year than i should have had,so catching up is proving to be difficult, but i hate it when i turn up and the customer says "your late this month"...it makes me uneasy and worried.

Customers will understand that we are late, afterall they dont want you round right now. But each custy seems to think that they are the only custy you have the minute the weather picks up they will think that you will be straight round to them and for me that aint gonna appen

The answer is not to commit yourself to any rigid schedule.  I tell all my customers the cycle is "every 4 - 6 weeks, never less than 4" and then I explain that we lose time in really bad weather etc, but we always return and if they're worried to give us a call.
