Upright tank lay flat?

Hi guys,

Stupid question but can an upright tank be lay flat and used effectively?

I personally wouldnt think so, but can it?

I've seen one used as such.
They silicon sealed the lid on and drilled a new filling hole in the top.

Just buy a flat tank instead and keep the upright for producing,I would'nt ruin a tank like that by drilling holes etc.
