« on: February 03, 2009, 06:01:47 pm »
Hi guys i'm all domestic at the moment but want to get some comercial work.
How's the best way to go about this? Was thinking of sending letters out to alot of shops and other commercial outlets, What's the average response to letters and is this the best way to get the work

And in my small town centre they all seem to be closing:

Wydean Wholefoods
Two Estate Agents
A shoe shop
Woolworths
Three clothes shops

And probably other shops that I haven't noticed!

It's looking bleak in our town centre!

Lots of shops are cleaned by national companies. Others will be done by someone who has been doing them for years most of the time for little money.

Bought a round (not of drinks) with a number of shops. All of them have been done by the same guy for years. Not great prices, but are done no matter what the weather.
Lost a Barratts though, they've gone into Administration. They are waiting to for the Adminstrator to let them spend the money on a window cleaner....Not the first won't be the last.
A diverse round comprising all types of work is the key to future security.
And as the man said "Security is not a dirty word, Blackadder. Crevice is a dirty word"
