What maximum ladder height suits you
« on: April 02, 2005, 02:09:53 pm »
I wondered (having looked around the archives first) what height is your preferred maximum with ladders

In the company I work for, I use double pointers which are 13 foot odd closed.
A couple of times recently I have gone to jobs which I cannot get near with these ladders
I have been told to use their 32 footers - but I am just not comfortable with these heights - I scaffolded in the past and that has its own obvious risks but they are always measured to eliminate as much danger as possible - Maybe it's lack of experience, but it would be nice to know your opinions

So, putting Working at Height regs to one side - what would you climb to, with or without someone to foot your ladders ???
