rust on blocks

hi was called out by a plumber he cut a cast iron bath on blocks and its turned rust on the area.

what would you guys do to cleanit ?

Look on the internet under `cleaning rust off of block paving`, you will find a suitable cleaning chemical.

Question for Mark Laycock ;- why do you keep asking the same related questions over and over again, when you could use the search facility on this forum?

Not advisable in my opinion, hydrochloric acid will find rust but not always get rid of it, it really depends on what the surface is, and for me "blocks" which this thread was about does not tell me enough of what the surface is, so Mark some more info is needed, as in what is the surface is.

its ok roger the plumber as replaced the blocks which the rust was on.
