isopropanol through DI resin
« on: December 09, 2008, 04:33:37 pm »
For any of you guys that use isopropanol in the tank this winter can you tell me if how you are finding the results ?
Is it OK to run it through DI resin as that is how my system is set up, with the DI bottle just before the hose.
What sort of quantity should i add to a 650lt tank.

Many thanks in advance

Dennis

Resin companys have been asked and it`s fine,a coke can in 500ltrs or so does the trick or did for me.If the water bubbles on the glass it`s mixing well in it,don`t put gallons of the stuff in the water it`s not needed.

Does the resin not remove the IPA from the water? I would have assumed it'd be filtered out?

The resin suppliers said it`s fine to use and will have no adverse affects on the resin, there`s nothing to filter out it`s 000ppm.
