advertising problem.
« on: November 24, 2008, 03:23:49 pm »
Hi all,

Just had a lady call me from a advertising company saying she would be invoicing me for my advert in a police mag ?? . so i told her we have not had an add in any police mags. then she said that i had told her over the phone that we would like to place an add, which i would never say ( at this point im gettin mad with her) so i said i had not and would not do this and they would not be getting any money from me. so now she is taking me to court  :o

Has anyone had this type of thing happen to them ??

Hi

I have a company chasing me at the moment- they alledge that i have agreed to advertise in there magazine that goes out to the Police - Ambulance - Fire service in my area.
A magazine turned up which my twin boys could have knocked up - i have since recieved numerous final demands and phone calls - all photo copys and from there sister company a credit collection service.

I have been onto trading standards and a blog exists on a number of websites detailing this companys actions.

They phoned on Friday and informed me that i would have a ccj place upon my property and this was my final chance to avoid a court hearing.

This company cold call people and offer know cooling off period and tape your conversations.

I believe this company operates a scam since no one at any of the agencies they  alledge recieved this mail are aware of such a mag.

regards

Billy

Trading standards are limited to what they can tell you due to the business enterprise act, but they are aware of this company and have had numerous complaints up and down the country.

I have written to the various agencies they say they represent and am awaiting a reply.

Have found on another forum a blog with a large volume of disgruntled customers. www.blagger.com

If its the same company just type in there name and you will be diverted to this by default.

I have had a conversation with another guy who is going to send me some info relating to this company, not recieved it yet , but if i getting anything will let u know.

Regards

Billy
