We have a massive one on monday with the public health & protection, the bloke had 25-30 pidgeons living in his house with him.
You will need disposable overalls T5/6
Full face masks with 3m 6099 filters or others
shoe covers
disposable gloves underneath your workmans gloves
wellies so that you can rinse them off
ear plugs
tape both wrists and ankles on the overalls
depending on the length of time that they have been roosting you may need to have the area fumigated (mites, lice etc), you will also need to heavy spray the area with a heavy grade disinfectant such as activ8 or other anti microbial
steam, scrape, shovel, air scrubber or hepa vacuum maybe required, all waste needs to be double bagged, bags need to be looped and tied before disposal and sprayed with a disinfectant use enclosed skips not vehicles and inform disposal point of waste type
hope this helps
cheers
