WHAT TYPE WFP
« on: October 13, 2008, 11:30:53 am »
Hi guys,

I am normally in the cleaners section. I have a few clients asking for window cleaning.

I want to buy the kit as I see it as an investment! However I have looked at trolley systems, trailer systems and van mounted systems. All seem to have 18 / 20 feet poles. And 100psi pump.

I need to reach higher than 20 feet, As my clients are commercial, offices and flats etc. I would say on average its atleast 60 feet possible more.

to reach this high what do I need to purchase?

Any ideas, advice would be apprerciated from you guys in the know.

Dave

As already stated..... A van, trailer or trolley system, plus an SL2 if its all high work, but an SL-X for any thing 25ft or lower.

These are the only two poles I use for window cleaning, they are in my opinion the best. Light, hard wearing, extremely rigid, a joy to use.

One of them is 25ft, which enables you to pretty much clean all Domestics, the second is a modular 60ft pole, which is ideal for commercial work.

Hi Dave.

I am a supplier of systems and would agree wholeheartedly with the advice given above re poles as your work is commercial.

As to type of system forget trollies for large commercial work. You will be refilling them far too often and will work slowly. Idealy a van mounted system would be the best bet. A 100 PSI pump will have no problems working 100 metres of hose with a 60 ft pole. You won't reach 60ft plus with a pole system. That is about the limit you can go to. Even with a 60ft pole you will struggle to actually reach 60ft. You do have to stand a reasonable distance back from the windows using poles of that length.

I sell trollies, trailer systems and van mounted. I am giving you my honest advice. I am sure most will agree that a van mount is by far the best for the type of work you need to do.

Kind regards
Andrew McCann
