Wall and floor tile cleaning advice please.
« on: October 03, 2008, 03:29:30 pm »
Hi all,

We have been asked to clean shower walls and floors in local sports club. Wall tiles are the usual bathroom type white and floor are dimpled quarry type.

They are pretty bad, rust and green mould from a leaky shower head in 1 corner, general hard water scum etc on walls as we are in a hard water area, and the grouting to the walls has gone brown near to the showers. The shower is being decorated after we have cleaned it, would it be advisable to scrape the grout out and regrout with water proof type afterwards?

Any advice gratefully received re what products, system to use. I have rotary floor scrubber and a TM if that counts.

There is a product we use alot for deep cleaning called Acid wash 80 by Clover chemicals great on lime scale buuild up rust and brings up the grout  really well.
It is advisable to test an area first as it is pretty potent stuff ;)
