Noisy pump
« on: September 18, 2008, 02:32:05 pm »
I have a 2 year old Flojet pump in my van which is very noisy. I have tried to mount it onto rubber pads to reduce noise / friction etc but it's getting worse. Also the pressure switch doesn't work properly. Any advice about repair or replacement pumps? Repair appeals to me if cost savings warrant.

If it is getting nosier it is a sure sign of pump wear and you will likely have to replace it soon.
Buy a spare now so that when it fails you don't take time off, you can just change straight away.
Just changed mine after 21/2 years as it was producing a weak flow.
