How about this for a complaint!
« on: September 10, 2008, 10:06:50 pm »
Cleaning down one street today when one of my customers on the other side of the road came over to see me. She looked well wound up. I went on full guard! (I had done her windows the day before).

After a good wind blow so half the street could hear it finally transpired that She was accusing me of cracking one of her windows with my, 'wavy thing' as she called it.

Well this does not do ones moral any good does it.

I thought I had best go and do a check before there was a major dramma on the street.

Into the house I went and was almost frog marched to the room.........

'There you are,' She said pointing to the double glazed window. Mmmm I thought. How do I explain that there is no way a pole could cause that crack.

Thought it best to look concerned, thinking at the time how the heck does one get around this in a dignified mannor. So I went for a closer examination.

Well I was well relieved.........the crack was on the inside. It was a long one going from one side to the other.

Well the poor lady was so appologetic.  I was more interested in my reputation which must have been tarnished with all accusations  She threw at me in the street.

Moral of the story. .....Well you add one....

I've had three call backs in seven years.

The first was spots; they were on the inside.

The second was because I'd apparantly missed a window; but it was because the window seals had blown and the area between the double glazing was misted up.

The third was because the fussy customer reckoned I'd not wiped an upstairs sill on a bathroom window.  I was quite cross about this one.  How anal is that?

Got to be honest, I've done a couple. ;D
