Frosted Glass

House I did this week had frosted glass in the 2 bathrooms. Whoever last painted left smudges on the interior (rough side) of the window. I've tried: Solvent, hot water with loads of gear, non-abrasive scourer and even asked the custy if I could raid his booze cabinet and try some of his vodka (I kid you not
) Nothing worked! Short of a bit of glass-paper how can I get the marks out next time I visit?

I would tell him to contact whoever did the painting, I would have thought turps but if its still being stuborn, leave it. You could end of doing more damage and then you are responsible.
hope that helps

Jell type paint stripper, apply it and let it do its work, if the window doesnt have a sink below it, stick some old towels on the sill and rinse it off, that should clean any paint it off.

"Jell type paint stripper". Is this the stuff you get from B&Q that f##ks your skin if it gets onto it?...If it is then bugger that, they can do it themselves!
But thanks for the heads-up!

Use some rubber gloves and follow the directions on the tin, If they want that window cleaned that badly then charge them for it.
It will work, I've done it myself with runs of paint that had dried on the windows.
