Water leak on TM.
« on: September 10, 2008, 08:19:56 am »
I have a HM spitfire 4.0 TM.

There is a hairline crack on the bottom of the header tank where the water comes out down to machine etc. It appears that the previous owner has over tightened the pipe going in there.

Has any one got an old Spitfire they are breaking so I can buy the header tank or much easier can any one recommend a sealer type product I can put on there that will withstand the heat and vibration etc, with out the agro of taking the tank off and replacing it.

Thanks in anticipation.

Saw something on Ideal World shopping channel.
They punctured plastic containers, spread the stuff inside the container whilst still leaking and hey presto - sealed it up.
Forgot what it is called though, sorry.
but shows there is stuff in the market place.
