Should i buy or lease?
« on: September 05, 2008, 11:55:01 am »
Hi all,

Me again, am still looking for good cleaner! i think i am going to go for the Prochem Powermax or Powerplus.
Cant decide weather to buy or lease though as you can claim things back if you lease. The thing im bothered about though is if i lease and it does not work out after a year and i have a 3yr lease im stuck with it?!!

Any suggestions.

Its a hard question to answer without knowing your start up budget.
Do you already have transport or will you be looking to buy a van, then there is cleaning solutions, sprayers, rakes. uniform, stationary, and the big on start-up Advertising.
This machine on ebay 320295654214, is a bargain imo. It has 500psi pump, 2 x 3 stage vacs and in-line heater for less than a £1000. I would advise to buy if you can and keep your overheads to a min because you will have enough on in the 1st 12 months with advertising.

I would also advise to buy a machine outright if you can,as mark said how are your finances?

The thing is with a lease when you have a quiet period and have not much coming in the payments still have to be made and i know a payment like lets say 80 pound a month doesnt sound a lot but when you aint earning it is :(

Ideally we would all like to start a business and borrow no money.

If you have enough for Van
Equipment and enough to promote the usiness say at £150 a week thats great and if you get your marketing right you will be on your way to a cleaning fortune.

If you borrow and it does not work out you are in several dog houses.

If you buy van and equipment you are still in a mess if you do spend enough on marketing in right places.

Problem is if you ask on here you might be a little wiser, but no one can tell you x y or z will produce righy result for you  first time

So why do you want to take this gamble?
