bit of advice on new van
« on: August 30, 2008, 06:01:54 pm »
hey everyone i've currently got a 1995 renault trafic and looking to just upgrade a little. i'm trying to decide whether go for a nissan vanette, fiat scudo style or fiat relay style van, just dont know what to do, the reason for going smaller is to save fuel etc but is there really any saving?

thanks

I've got a scudo- but i've also got a ducato, they are both pretty good. I don't notice one uses more fuel than the other.
The scudo is wc van, and at 925kg carry I wish it was bigger. I have a 650 tank , a hot system and am close to the limit.

I would like another reel, a 1000l and another operator as i am sick of doing all the work, but my scudo won't take this.Otherwise it is a great van and I love it.Why?

easy parking
workmanlike but not flashy
two side doors
fits a 34'hybidetel inside
good height for getting ladders off

Best advice by far.

Get a new Trafic.
Streets ahead of the others.

(although Gazza's Transit is lovely)
