hi all

i have gotten most of my work from sending out faxes.

recently i sent out some and the next week i got a letter from the "fax preference service" they told me i was breaking the law by sending out these faxes and someone had complained.

apparently i need to buy a list first for £3,000

the fine for not buying it and sending anyway is £5,000 grand!! and now i have to wait round to see if they prosecute me. this appears legit as i phoned up the DTI to check.

just thought id tell you in case you get screwed too.

heck! I shall cancel my order for a fax machine toot-sweet!

I doubt you will get prosecuted, the warning will probably be considered suficient, they will know you are only small fry
