hi i a BNI member and must say it works for me and have got lots of work from it and it good to make friends with people from other businesses to talk about different things.  We all get on well and had a meal and a pool night the other week and is always good to meet other people in business.

Look at the time invested and the cost and work out what return you can get from your investment?

I know people who have had some VERY good work from clubs such as this so as long as you look at the long term and not short term the chances are it will pay, it goes back to the saying "it's not what you know, but who you know that counts".................................

I was invited to join but decided against it. Its a very good scheme and offers a lot of mutual support for small businesses.

I was in the " B N I " they sound good but every wednesday morning I had to attend the meetings I was losing 150.00 because I was not working! and I was not getting 150.00 worth of business referals each week! So for me, a wfp window cleaner, It was not worth being a member!

I was a member for a year. It was good and I got some excellent leads from it. The group was good too. However I got fed up with the same old fixed routine and faces each week.

Its like anything fine for a while but then you can't avoid the politics.

If you spent the same amount of time on generating your own leads as you commit to BNI your results would be similar if not better in my opinion.

I don't think its well suited to our business. Some other businesses really do well out of it.

I also offer carpet cleaning and I did very well with that bit but all for the members of my BNI group and their friends. I got a large hotel and a few houses for window cleaning so it was good for a while.
