Tap tds

Hi, how low does the tap tds have to be before i can use a di system only, without it costing me a mint?

MMM not sure if people will understand this question.

I take it you are on about the purity of tap water?

You need to be in a really soft water area for this - and it depends on how much water you need, in small amounts then maybe but I suspect you need to be on the window side

The formula came from www.andwat.co.uk/ a while ago. To see how long a 25 litre of resin will last divide 500,000 by your TDS reading, this will then give you the amount of water per 25 litre sack of resin.

Example with a tds of 200:

500000/200=2500 litres per 25 litre bag.
