I was all set to buy my machine (powrflite pfx1350) from cleansmart when one came up on E-bay hardly used, got it for £900 would have cost about £2400 new from cleansmart, it's always worth scanning e-bay theres some good gear on there, I can give you some pointers regarding gear later, just going to the flicks to see Angelina Jolie movie WANTED

I would like to clarify one important aspect that seems to have misconstrued for whatever reason, or goal.

I didn't think that Mr. Hatton was given his fair due or honor he deserved in his honest testimonial and experience. And, please, you need not refer to me in this situation as a "saleman" either. His participation on this board and helpfulness is essential IMHO.

Joe Hatton stated his facts in regards to cleaning with hot water even tho his particular high-performance system did not have an internal heater within. He said he did a terrific job and that should be that.

However, perhaps the greater misconstrued or twisted comment ("doesn't have a heater")  which has always amazed me is that a "Heater" IS AVAILABLE for that particular system...................if required. Therefore, to insinuate that a "it does not have a heater" (and therefore, is not as good) is totally inaccurate. And, it does not have a built-in heater for VERY GOOD reasons.

Finally, yes, ALL MACHINES (TM or Portable) squirt & suck. Its just that some do it much, much better than others and that is what separates them---not the process or the fact that they have 4-wheels---and some do it better and much faster because they are more efficient and not generic, "mee-too".

I will leave it at that. I thank all of you sincerely, and highly suggest that differences of opinions are terrific but please consider the actual on-the-job reports from the Operator(s)------------------no matter what machine they might have .

What I was doing was helping a newbie to look at the wider market place.  Richard mentioned 3 companys, I enlightened him to Solutions UK and Prochem, giving the sponsors of this site a mention too (which is not done very often).
For trainng NCCA came into the frame.
I mentioned 2 dealers whose machines I have and stated the good service I have had from those 2 dealers.
Darren said make sure you buy a machine with a heater, I made a honest reply stating I had done a hot water clean today without a heater (customers hot tap water), and because no heater I had the benefit of a 3rd vac motor.

Yes this forum provides lots of help that each and every one of us, irrespective of how little or how much experiance we have, have benfitted from. And may that continue. We have a laugh - which is good. but at times too little respect is shown to fellow professionals (in my opinion).
and I dont just mean those that post mainly on here and on Cleantalk. I mean also those that post mainly on Cleantalk, but not on here for whatever reason. These are your fellow professionals, very experianced guys or maybe even newer ones.  Some actually have said to me they dont post on CIU much because of the twaddle that goes on - but of course, YOU think the other way, that CIU is the bees knees and Cleantalk is rubbished.
Both forums, in my opinion, have very good points that should not be belittled, and thats because of the contribuitions and the effort made by those who contribute for the advancement of the carpet cleaning industry in general.

I will continue to give my honest opinion on as many subjects as I can. Today was nothing.
For those with a discerning eye, you will notice I tend to only give an opinion on what I know based on first hand experiance or what I have seen.
I will also continue to give as much help as I can to any newbie, or anyone else, who contacts me through my email.. .. and over the last 12 months there has been a fair few of them. I have enjoyed the communication with them and will continue to do so.

You , and not just you, insult your fellow professionals when that attitude is taken. and obviously there is more of us then you realise!

and its because of the certain comments made on here some dont bother coming back too often. They actually prefer to be on Cleantalk - amazing eh!   but it means YOU are the losers because you have not had the benefit of the experiances they have to offer - which is quite considerable, and you are in effect robbing them of your valuable experiance.

and by trying to supress anyone who actually says good things about the products and services of another business, YOU are in fact imposing a "ban" on that person(s).

but hey, its another day - hope you have a good one (and I mean that).
