Who Decides
« on: June 17, 2008, 08:37:42 pm »
A recent top law firm in Newcastle city centre wanted their carpets cleaned,I went and did a quote suggesting lm cleaning as it was 2 floors up,he argued that they had them wet cleaned in the past which was fine.

Did the job on Saturday using the lm system received email back stating its the best cleaning they have had the carpets were dry and smelt fresh absolutely delighted asked for me to drop some cards off as employees also impressed.

Now if I had gone down the hwe route as he had always had in the past would I have done myself an injustice.

Ultimately who decides us as the professional or the client who pays the bill?

Hi

The customer is always right.

Unfortunetly most of them are usually only Half right.

Give them the option of the 2 but say "as a professional I recommend this system because...." LM is usually cheaper and you win friends because of it.

How do you know that? Using the right equipment and techniques you may well have still done a better job than the previous ones.
For what it's worth I always LM office carpets anyway.

When you take the car to the garage and you tell them to fix it, you don't tell them what tools they should use.

Hi Guys

Had the same sort of thing recently where customer insisted on dry cleaning, HWE had failed previously on dirty office tiles.

I suggested LM he said I do not want any water.

Looked at carpet dry granule was not going to work, as I discussed further he actually wanted LM , had used it before but had been sold as completely dry.

Sometimes we can get too technical for our own good, LM is effectively dry in an office situation.

Cheers

Doug

Was that dry fusions own chemical or do you find other makes more effective/cheaper?

Do you find charly pads more effective than cotton bonnets?

Catalyst is from craftex which I find gives excellent results plus it has the added bonus of the odour which is not evident with pure clean.

email received from customer:

I was intending to email you first thing but as usual I have been sidetracked.

Excellent job, I was in the office on Saturday evening after the cleaners had left. I was pleasantly surprised to find the whole building smelling fresh and looking very clean.

The carpet clean has made a huge difference. I am sure some members would like to book them to clean their carpets at home. Best carpet cleaners I have experienced in the 13 years that I have been here.

Apart from setting off the alarm accidentally they have done a very good job. It is noticeable, as some members have mentioned it.

Kind regards,
