renault trafic price help

found a mint trafic from one of my customers, its not even for sale but he doesnt use it

its a 52 plate, 36k miles, fsh, MINT. 2.7 dti

what sort of price? he said a figure i just wanna see what you guys think

I think they were the ones with the gearbox problems. :-[ ( roger squeaky seems to know about this)

It seems to be a low mileage so I reckon around the 4k plus the hit  ;)

i dont think it is 2.7 actually just looking on net, it says 2700 on side...i think lol

Steer clear,gearbox trouble in that year and that`s the worst model they did the DTI.If your going to get 1 go for the CDTI ie common rail engine more poke and more reliable,i wouldn`t buy it even if it seemed cheap.

id need to check on the engine, we didnt really have a proper talk about it, hes a nice customer and hes just got a new job n theyve given him a van so his one i just sat on drive

are they really that bad, to be fair he doesnt really wanna sell it and he told me hes had no problems hmmm

He`s had no problems cos it`s been sat on the drive.

My Trafic gearbox (03 plate) went at 39,000 miles.  It doesn't mean that yours would though.

i placed deposit on an 05 plate vivaro 2700 DI SWB with 1.9 engine. seems  ok to drive and has enough poke for what i require.

Mines on a 52 plate, 77,000 miles and was up for £4000+vat but i paid £3700 and no vat

I've done 36k in 1 year in my 53plate Trafic. It had 29k on it when I bought it, its been fine apart from the new clutch. My 55plate Primastar has 40k total and thats had a clutch aswell.

Personally, I would not buy it.  It may be perfectly OK but I've heard too many gearbox tales for my liking.

at the end of the day i could buy anything that could go caput couldnt i, just nice to know this ones been looked after
