Afternoon,
Did a quote today where a blind lady needs to have her carpets cleaned, she has 2 cats which have used parts of each room as a toilet
Any tips on what to use for a good result? Its a 80/20 mix
Ta in advance

I use a mix of clensan and urine neutraliser, find it works well if you treat with this first then dwell for 10 mins and put your usual pre-treat (something not too far from ph neutral) then rinse as normal.

Thats just me playing around with things. I used to think the clensan would get in the way of the neutraliser but it always seems to work for me.

heavy Pre-spray with HOT mix of fabric fibre rinse 50 ml per litre, leave 15 mins then extract with crystal green/clensan. Then spray affected areas with urine neutrelizer and leave. Urine neutrelizer takes time to work, you may need to return to put more down.

What is the idea behind the hot ff rinse as a prespray Mark?

Fibre & Fabric rinse is an acid which neutralises the ammonia compounds of the urine. Works the same as urine neutraliser. Personally I would spray with the urine neutraliser first as it has better deoderising properties.
Don't forget if these areas have been used as a toilet the carpet backing, underlay and floor will have been affected. All contaminated areas need to be treated for a succesfull outcome.

urine turns from an acid to an alkali after leaving the body so it should be dealt with using an acidic solution. i always use urine neutrelizer after the clean as it takes time to break down the salts in the urine which cause the smell. There is little point in spraying it down then extracting. Clean and sanitize then spray affected areas and leave it there.
I have always dealt with urine smells in this way without any problems.
